What is Approved Provider Standard?
APS is the national standard for mentoring and befriending (from the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation - MBF). Its specifically designed for mentoring and befriending projects and is externally verified based on MBF’s expertise. It is supported by government and other funding agencies. APS is assessed by looking at 12 elements focusing on the key management and operational areas that underpin the effectiveness of any mentoring or befriending project.
What does it mean for Digitall?
The assessor’s report said that our application showed an excellent example of a mentoring programme with clear outcomes for the mentees. They said we had a thorough approach to implementing processes - which supports and safeguards everyone involved in the scheme.
The assessment confirmed that we have a robust and thorough monitoring and evaluation framework and have carefully considered the outcomes which need to be achieved. Our training programme is well organised and provides good support for the mentoring relationship.
