Being a Mentee
What does a mentoring relationship involve?
You'll meet with your mentor for around an hour a week for up to twelve weeks at a selected IT centre.
Your mentor will guide and support you in achieving any number of goals relevant to you, such as setting up an email account, chatting to relatives through the Internet gaining easier access to online services or making the most of new technology to search for the best job opportunities.
Your mentor will help you to feel more at home with modern technology and give you the confidence to use the Internet in a way that's useful to you.
What training and support will I receive?
Digitall provides training and support to mentors and mentees throughout the course of the mentoring relationship.
Initial training will help you to set objectives with your mentor and structure your meetings.
How will mentors and mentees be matched?
Digitall has developed a careful system to match mentors and mentees, based on a number of key criteria. We take into account factors such as common interests, gender and availability.
We understand that some matches just don't work, so don't worry we will be here to support you if you're match isn't what you expected. The most important thing in ensuring a successful mentoring match is to make sure that both parties are happy from the outset.
